Hi everyone,
What a great start to the year at Uncharted! Even with snow, ice, and a chilly gym, our incredible athletes have continued to show up and put in the work. This season has felt like a mix of grit and momentum — adapting when conditions aren’t ideal and still finding ways to move, train, and connect. I’m so proud of these Uncharted athletes.
Community Highlights
January included strength testing, movement assessments, and a lot of firsts — new lifts, longer distances, and trying things that once felt out of reach. These tests aren’t just about numbers — they’re about seeing progress, building confidence, and having clear starting points for the year ahead.

This month also included opportunities to share adaptive fitness with the larger community. I traveled to Wintergreen to host an adaptive CrossFit session for Ukrainian veterans with leg amputations and was a guest on the Adaptive Athlete Podcast. Both experiences were a powerful reminder that adaptive fitness connects people across backgrounds and experiences — and that movement can be both physical and deeply meaningful. Advocating in multiple spaces for inclusive fitness helps build a stronger adaptive community.
What’s Coming Up
CrossFit Open / Friday Night Lights (Feb 27):
Uncharted athletes and families are welcome to join CrossFit Liquid’s Friday Night Lights for the first Open workout. This year’s theme is Marvel vs DC — represent your favorite superhero and work out or just come cheer everyone on.
Special Olympics Collaboration:
I’m exploring a Fitness Club partnership with Special Olympics and will share more details soon.
